Never before has a charity like SMA been able to lure an Ambassador like Toby Price to help raise awareness.
SMA has organised a special up close and personal event day with Toby Price, and his KTM Manager from Europe, Alex Doringer who will fly in from Austria especially for the event.
Toby is Australia’s biggest hopeful in the Dakar rally in 2017 after winning the event this year, and he will be sharing with us how he prepares, mentally and physically for the race. Alex, the off-road division manager for KTM motorsport International, will be talking about the development of riders, as well as what he searches for when looking for a new talent for the team.
Alex has won many titles; he has stopped counting how many, “They are nice for the history books” Alex said. “The goal is not to look back, it’s much more important to look forward to win more”.
Both Toby and Alex are supporting (SMA) Spinal Muscular Atrophy Australia Inc.
“I cannot wait to greet my fans and also support SMA to help get the word out about this horrible childhood disease. I am encouraging everyone to come along to what will be a fantastic day” Toby said.
Spinal Muscular Atrophy is the childhood version of motor neurone disease. It affects the muscles you see like your arms and legs, but all your internal muscles like breathing, coughing and swallowing. The loss of motor neurons leads to the progressive muscle weakness and wasting.”
