KTM New Zealand is proud to offer an event for Orange enthusiasts who have that adventurous spirit lurking within and are ready to answer its call. And what better way to do that than with an epic 5-days in the saddle on your KTM Adventure bike. Bring old friends or make new ones, in the spirit of adventure riding, we are proud to announce the first ever KTM New Zealand Adventure Rallye “Coast to Coast”, December 1st – 5th 2016!
Open to Orange Adventure Riders with the following eligible KTM bikes: 640, 690, 950, 990, 1050, 1190, 1190R & 1290 SA models. The Rallye is tailored to suit all rider abilities, from first year Adventure riders up to seasoned Adventure pros.
Assisting in launching the inaugural KTM New Zealand Adventure Rallye is North Island local and KTM rider CHRIS BIRCH. Chris will be the Rallye Route Coordinator and by drawing on his experience, knowledge of the area and the KTM adventure range, as well as his local contacts – the route will be a sensational one!
Designed with the V-TWIN KTM Adventure range in mind, as well as the variety of rider abilities, the route will include a mix of tar sealed roads, back country roads, gravel roads, forest trails and more. With the assistance of key locals, there will also be forest tracks and trails that you cannot normally access.

The KTM New Zealand Adventure Rallye is “COAST TO COAST” for 2016 – and the ride will do just that. Starting from the North Island’s East Coast in Papamoa Beach (20min south of Tauranga), the route will traverse between 250km to 300km per day, heading across the entire breadth of the North Island to finish on the West Coast in New Plymouth five days later.
Overnight destinations along the way include Gisborne, Taupo and Taumaranui. A great mix of twisty tar seal roads, back country roads, gravel roads, dirt forest tracks and trails will allow orange riders the chance to fully experience not only the amazing scenery that New Zealand has to offer, but also what their KTM Adventure motorcycle is capable of.
